Sun Bead Craft

My Sister and i finished our Sun Beads last night - they were so much fun! and were a lot faster to do than we thought.

I got the inspiration from Pinterest here. We started off finding some driftwood, then my sister found some shells..then we bought some beads online (which only came to $30 - and we had heaps left over)
Then we drilled 6 holes in them, wound wire around the ends to keep it strong. Then we began our beading...here are some pictures;

It was so much fun, and look really cool..now we have to figure out what to do with the left over beads :) Yay!

Well i better go and cook some tea for hubby and my Sis.

Beach time!

Well we all did many different jobs around the house yesterday, and it was about 26 degrees Celsius here...so it was very hot! We were meant to be going for a couples photoshoot with a friend yesterday evening, but she came down sick so we had to cancel it. But thats ok, we will do it later in the year..we ended up doing a late afternoon/evening trip to the beach instead! We so lovely, watching the beautiful sun set as we drove to Raglan, was so peaceful. I love watching the trees as you drive by..feels like  you are moving around them :)

Well Dad and i went for a quick swim..it was pretty cold! Normally is at Raglan.
Here are some quick snaps i took with my phone.

Oh by the way, Happy New Year all!! xx
